“I am always happy to invest in that great country that is Italy and very happy to accompany the Telecom Italia team over the long term”. This is Vincent Bolloré's comment, after the definitive agreement signed between Vivendi, of which the French financier is the first shareholder and chairman, and Telefonica on the Brazilian Gvt, which involves Vivendi's entry into Telecom Italia with 5,7%.
Bolloré is also Mediobanca's second shareholder with 7,45% (and the authorization to increase to 8%) and is present in the capital of Generali. Meanwhile, a spin-off on the Stock Exchange for the Telecom Italia share: after the news of the agreement with Vivendi, at the opening of the session in Piazza Affari the action of the Italian TLC immediately gains 1,55% to 0,92 euros.
