Il board of Parmalat has decided to abandon the acquisition of the Brazilian company Dairy products. The website of Il Sole 24 Ore reports it. In recent weeks, following the indiscretions arriving from the Latin American press, the Collecchio group had admitted that it was examining the operation.
However, the negotiations had appeared complex from the very first moment given the difficulties of the Brazilian group in a severe crisis and the need to find an agreement with both the creditors and the current shareholders. After the indiscretion, the share fell on the Stock Exchange by 0,32% to 2,464 euros per share.
