Another dramatic day on the Stock Exchange for the share of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, which slips below the psychological threshold of the euro, reaching its all-time lows. The shares have been suspended on the downside, after reaching 0,991 euros (-4,60%). High volumes for almost 52 million shares traded so far, equal to the average monthly daily volume.
In the last year MPS has lost 53% of its value on the Stock Exchange, 43% in the last three months. The Bca Carige shares also stopped downwards, with a loss of 8,91% to 0,956 euros. Among the various merger hypotheses made by investors in recent months, there was also that of Mps-Carige.
