Spotlights in Piazza Affari on the Mondadori stock, which recorded an increase of around 10% in mid-morning, on a positive day so far for the Italian stock market.

Mondadori's shares were given wings by the decision, approved yesterday after the stock exchange was closed, to create the newco Mondadori Libri Spa, which will include all the book activities of the group and the entire stakes in Piemme, Giulio Einauidi, Mondadori Education, Mondadori Electa, Sperling & Kupfer, Harlequin Mondadori.

The formalization of the transfer (which will have a net book balance of 99,4 million) is expected by the end of 2014 with effects starting from 2015 January 30. As at 238,9 September, Mondadori's books area reported revenues of 35,8, 33,7 million euros, a gross operating margin of XNUMX million euros and an operating result of XNUMX million euros.

The news gave rise to rumors and rumors about a possible M&A with RCS Libri, the second player in the Italian market. Rcs rises by 1,2%.
