The actions of some lenders seem to take a breather after last Friday's nightmare session, while others continue their free fall - Mediobanca (-2,72%) and Mediolanum (-2,71%) also weighs the d appeal against Fininvest – The only stock in real countertrend is Fonsai (+1,55%), the best of the basket.

Stock Exchange: Milan loses again, banks are challenged

The sales continue in Piazza Affari, where the FTSE index continues to lose ground after Friday's crash. Just before 12, it falls by 30%. Although the general trend continues not to bring good news, some titles in these hours are recovering part of the ground lost during the last session. This is the case of some banks, who finally manage to catch their breath: Ubi Banca (+1,44%), Unicredit (+0,84%) and Banco Popolare (+0,41%) are doing well.

However, the sector remains mixed, considering the sharp declines that continue to hit Intesa (-2,48%) and Mediobanca (-2,72%), which like Mediolanum (-2,71%) are also affected by the appeal ruling on the Lodo Mondadori with which Fininvest was ordered to compensate Cir for 560 million euros. More contained losses for Popolare di Milano (-1,04%) and Montepaschi (-0,48%). Parmalat (-2,88%), Azimut (-3,23%) and Fiat (-3,38%) are also down. Fonsai sails against the tide (+1,55%), the best stock in the entire basket, closely followed by Ansaldo (+1,20). Atlantia (+0,38%) and Bulgari (+0,08%) are also in green, albeit slightly.
