Stock market: Asian markets ko, cautious European stock exchanges, weak Milan

Negative week opening for the main Asian stock exchanges. In red Tokyo, Shanghai and especially Shenzhen. The only one to save itself is Hong Kong which closed with a timid +0,5%.

At the root of the negative day on the eastern markets are once again the fears about China. The non-positive macroeconomic data on China, released over the weekend, alarmed analysts with a sell-off especially in Shenzhen where today the Stock Exchange closed with heavy liabilities of 6,5%. A very difficult day also for the main Chinese stock market. Indeed, the main index of the Shanghai Stock Exchange about an hour from the end of trading it lost almost 4% to then partially recover in the final and still close with a significant drop of 2,67%.

Faced with the numbers of the two main Chinese stock exchanges, the Tokyo loss (-1,63%) it almost seems like a small thing. In reality, also considering the closings with a minus sign on Thursday and Friday, for Tokyo this is the third consecutive drop and further confirmation of investors' fears on the disappointing data on industrial production and on the strength of the nearby Chinese economy.

As regards the other Asian markets, it should be noted that the Seoul Stock Exchange lost 0,5% on the ground, Taiwan closed slightly positive (+0,02%) while Jakarta, like Hong Kong, went against the trend and recorded a +0,39%.

If in the East the slowdown of the Chinese economy is keeping the Shanghai and Tokyo markets anxious, the same cannot be said in Europe where trading has opened positively. Milan starts well but veers to -0,14%, Frankfurt 0,58%, Madrid 0,6%, London 0,75% and Paris 0,61%.
