The Fitch rating agency yesterday assigned EI Towers, a Mediaset subsidiary, a BBB rating, with a stable outlook EUR.

Another rally in Piazza Affari for the Mediaset stock which by mid-morning gained more than three and a half points, clearly leading the rises of the Ftse Mib. The latest wave of purchases on Alfa Romeo shares was triggered by the rating agency Fitch, which yesterday assigned to EI Towers – subsidiary of Mediaset – the valuation BBB, with stable outlook.

Fitch explained that the judgment on the company active in the network infrastructure sector reflects "the high visibility, non-cyclicality and link to revenue inflation", characteristics that "are supported by long-term contracts for hospitality on the towers of the transmission equipment of operators in the radio, television and telecommunications sectors. Consequentially, profitability and cash generation are considered stable also for the future".

The same rating was assigned by the agency to bond under construction by EI Towers for an amount of up to 250 million euros.
