Stock market, Mediaset rebounds after promotion by Goldman Sachs

Mediaset is up sharply in Piazza Affari, supported by the promotion of Goldman Sachs to 'buy' from 'neutral', with a target price of 5,1 euros from the previous 3,6 euros. The broker also added the title to its conviction list, which is causing the Berlusconi galaxy's stock to soar by almost +4% in the morning €3,866 per share, with volumes equal to 60% of the daily average.

In a large study dedicated to the media, Goldman Sachs has in fact expressed a positive view on Mediaset in the light of the improvement in advertising sales in the third quarter and an increase in the company's estimates for 2014-2015 which does not seem excessive. Furthermore, according to the broker, the greater potential for cost cutting and the possible sale of assets are another positive element, as are the easing of tensions with Sky Italia and the stabilization of the audience share.
