Borsa, Mediaset falls: tomorrow the Board of Directors on the 2012 accounts, expected loss of 45 million

Another day of passion in Piazza Affari for the Mediaset stock, which by mid-morning was in the red by more than one point, at 1,61 euros. The shares of the Biscione mark the worst drop in the Ftse Mib, which in the same minutes moves in positive territory by about half a point. 

The pressure on the title is related to negative expectations for tomorrow's board of directorswhich you will have to approve the 2012 accounts. Last Friday, in an interview with La Stampa, the vice president Pier Silvio Berlusconi admitted that this year the group will close the first red balance sheet in its history

The market expects a loss of about 45 million, stable compared to that of the first three quarters of 2012 (45,4 million euro), while advertising sales should have recorded a new heavy decline in the last quarter of the year, continuing the negative trend also in the first half of 2013. 

The Cavaliere's son also announced that Mediaset will implement a series of interventions to save 450 million over the next three years.

On another hot topic, that of Mediaset Premium pay-TV, still far from breaking even, Pier Silvio Berlusocni said he was optimistic, noting the slight growth in revenues and speaking of "foreign groups interested in a share of Premium".

In the last year, Mediaset stock has lost more than 28% on the stock exchange.
