The group's quotations are driven by rumors about an ever closer agreement with Al Jazeera and Canal Plus for entry into Mediaset Premium pay TV. According to some sources Mediaset yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding with the Emir of Qatar Al Thani and the French group Vivendi, with due diligence starting on May 10th.
Despite the usual denials of the Biscione who specified that no operation with any partner has been concluded, the involvement of foreign partners in the group's pay TV appears ever closer.
