The share of Gtech is still in the light in Piazza Affari, which - after the +4,2% recorded yesterday - gains 1,9% today in mid-morning, to 18,96 euros, achieving the best increase in the Ftse Mib . The purchases of the gaming giant's shares were triggered by two factors.
First starting the buyback program announced yesterday by the company, an operation that will involve up to 1% of the capital. By 30 September 2014, the program will be executed by a special authorized intermediary through the purchase of a maximum quantity of 1,78 million shares, to be carried out on the regulated market, in one or more tranches.
To convince investors is then a Mediobanca report, in which the analysts underline how Gtech is negotiating at a discount of around 30% compared to its competitors and consequently these values can represent a good entry level. From the beginning of March to yesterday, in fact, the stock has lost about 20%.
Piazzetta Cuccia also confirms the outperform rating on the former Lottomatica, indicating a rather high target price, a 26,7 €. Finally, next week, Gtech should have an initial response on the tender for the Turkish lottery, while negotiations continue to take over the American Igt.
