Stock market: Finmeccanica soars after contracts with Israel, Avio accounts and rumors of Siemens offer for Ansaldo

The share of Finmeccanica shines, which this morning leads the increases in Piazza Affari by scoring a gain of two and a half points. The good performance on the Stock Exchange is linked to three factors: the announcement of the contracts just signed with Israel, the rumors about an imminent offer from Siemens for Ansaldo Energia and the good results of the subsidiary Avio.

Let's start from the first. Yesterday, the aerospace group announced it had closed contracts with the Middle Eastern country for a value of approximately 850 million dollars through the operating companies Alenia Aermacchi, Telespazio and Selex Elsag.

Furthermore, this morning Il Sole 24 Ore writes that Siemens is currently finalizing an offer for Ansaldo Energia, 55% controlled by Finmeccanica. The German group aims to 100% of the company and would pay 1,3 billion euros.

For Avio, on the other hand, the first half of the Finmecccanica investee closed with an Ebitda up by 13% and revenues up by more than 25%.
