Stock Exchange: Fiat flies after Chrysler sales, waiting for the business plan

The publication of the data relating to the sales of the Chrysler subsidiary in the United States gave wings to the Lingotto shares, which in April recorded a leap of 14% on an annual basis - A new business plan is expected that the CEO Sergio Marchionne will present next Tuesday in Detroit.

The Fiat share shines in Piazza Affari, gaining more than two and a half percentage points by mid-morning, at 8,92 euros, achieving one of the best performances of the Ftse Mib. 

The publication of the data relating to the shares gave wings to the Lingotto shares sales of the Chrysler subsidiary in the United States, which in April recorded a leap of 14% on an annual basis, outperforming the market (+8%) and exceeding the guidance for the whole of 2014 (+9%).

For Intermonte analysts, the sales trend in the USA “is very positive for the group and better than our expectations, even if in line with the market consensus in the USA. Our estimates – they underline – foresee a growth in sales in the whole of 2014 of 7% to over 2 million units. The fact that the sales success of Jeep and Ram continues, which have above-average margins, is also positive". 

Investors are also confidently awaiting the numbers on registrations in Italy which should mark an increase of 4%, in addition to the new business plan that the managing director Sergio Marchionne will present next Tuesday in Detroit.
