FINMECCANICA FLYING, WEAK TELECOM. THE MARCH OF THE STRONG EURO CONTINUES

Piazza Affari floats just below parity, supported by the positive outcome of the Spanish Bonos auction but depressed by the clash on the US budget. The Ftse Mib index lost 0,15% to 18071 Madrid -0,34%. Paris loses 0,46%, Frankfurt -0,19%. London +0,17% is in positive territory. 

The BTP trades at 4,36%, the yield rises by 3 basis points, the spread with the Bund is 252 (-3 basis points), the differential with the Spanish Bono, which yields 4,26%, is +10 points basis. The Treasury of Madrid has placed 3,51 billion euros of 5 and 10-year bonds: of these, the 1170 million euros of 4,26-year bonds have been assigned to XNUMX%, the lowest level in the last three years.

The most significant data of the morning concerns the euro: the single currency strengthens against the dollar to 1,361, from 1,358 at yesterday evening's close. The exchange rate flew to February levels after the data on retail sales in the euro area, which rose in September by 0,7% from +0,5%: expected +0,2%.

 A few hours after the start of the board meeting, Telecom Italia recorded -0,95% after a start to the session with strong fluctuations. Meanwhile, Finmeccanica's flight continues +6,53%, after yesterday's +7%. An extraordinary board of directors dedicated to Ansaldo Energia should be held tomorrow: the 55% subsidiary should pass to the Italian strategic fund. Ansaldo Sts +2%. 

Mediaset stands out with an increase of 2,69%. Mondadori is unchanged. Among the banks, Unicredit +0,39%. The institution has presented an offer to acquire Bank Gospodarki Zywnosciowej (800m?) and is sounding out investors on the possibility of selling its Ukrainian subsidiary, Ukrsotsbank (at least 500m). Banca Imi analysts consider the Poland an interesting market for Unicredit and they believe synergies could be found with Bank Pekao.

Intesa -0,71%, MontePaschi +0,29%. Mediolanum rises by 1,71%, in the wake of the recovery of BTPs. Azimut reaches new historical highs +1,07%, after the joint venture signed yesterday in Singapore. Banca Generali, up 0,9%, is getting closer to the top of the beginning of August and for Kepler Chevreux it can reach 21 euros. Citi, on the other hand, sets a target price of 20 euros for both shares. World Duty Free climbs 0,5%. Equita has included the stock in its favorite portfolio, the target price is 8,5 euros. Autogrills -0,33%.

In the luxury sector, Luxottica +0,75%, Ferragamo +1,17%, Yoox +0,3%. Noteworthy is the effervescence of Cairo Communication +6,21% after being suspended due to an excessive increase.
