In Piazza Affari, the spotlight is on Enel, which sinks by 3,17% in mid-morning, signaling itself as the black shirt of the Italian list, which travels in negative territory. The trading volume on the share of the electricity giant was particularly intense, with over 26 million units traded.
According to operators, Enel's prices are dragged down in the dust by the reform of the electricity system decided by the Spanish government, which canceled 3,6 billion euros of loans to the sector, through an amendment approved in Parliament.
The amendment weighs on all Spanish utility stocks, which fell sharply in the morning. Among them also that of Endesa, a subsidiary of Enel, which sells more than 2% to Madrid.
