Record for Enel in the Stock Exchange session on Wednesday 30 October: the Italian energy group has in fact achieved a new market capitalization record exceeding, for the first time, the value of 70 billion euros, and confirming itself as the first company in the Italian market e the first company in the utilities sector in Europe. Yesterday the group led by Francesco Starace, despite a day with a bearish trend for Piazza Affari, managed to gain about half a percentage point, approaching the value of 7 euros per share, to be precise on 6,9 euros, against 6,8. XNUMX euros from yesterday morning's opening.

Since the beginning of the year, Enel has gained more than 36% on the Stock Exchange, thus increasing its value by more than a third, which has gone from 4,9 euros to 6,9 euros per share in ten months. The group is present in 34 countries around the worldo in the 5 continents, operating in the field of generation with a net installed capacity of over 85 GW (figure at the end of 2018) and selling gas and distributing electricity on a network of approximately 2,2 million km to a portfolio of almost 73 million customers in the world. Enel is the largest electricity company in Italy, the second listed utility in Europe by installed capacity, and the second largest player in the domestic natural gas market. Thanks to the consolidation of the Spanish Endesa, the main electricity company in the country, it holds a significant position in Spain and is the leading private group in Latin America.
