Borsa, it's still stormy on Mps

Another downpour of sales on the Sienese Bank's stock, after the ban on short selling on the stock expired last Tuesday – European stock exchanges barely moved – Btp-Bund spread slightly down, to 126 basis points – Eni and Saipem do well in Milan, Ferragamo and Maire Tecnimont are flying – Cucinelli sinks after yesterday's placement.

The European stock exchanges moved little today, with Business Square which in the middle of the day travels slightly down (-0,24%), as well as the other main European stock exchanges: Frankfurt -0,33% Paris -0,4% and London -0,36%.

Btp-Bund Spread down slightly to 126 basis points.

In Milan, the case is once again taking center stage Montepaschi, which after the collapses of the last few sessions today leaves a further 6,7% on the field, after more than one passage in the volatility auction. Since 22 January, the Sienese Bank's shares have lost about 20%.

The institute will soon have to deal with a capital increase of 2,5 billion, but the market takes into account that the size of the operation could even be higher.

At Piazza Affari, in any case, some still think that Mps will soon merge with another institution and to date the most accredited partner remains Ubi (-0,8%). The merger project between the two banks would also be favored by the popular reform announced by the Renzi government. Furthermore, last Tuesday the Consob ban on short selling on MPS expired.

In the wake of Mps bad too Banca Carige, down 5,54%.

Salt instead Eni (+0,5%), after the promotion of Investec from hold to buy. It also recovers Saipem (+2%), which returns above the 8 euro level, despite a new downgrade by Exane from neutral to underperform, complete with a 47% reduction in the target price, to 8 euro.

In the luxury sector, cash on Ferragamo (+2,35%) after the release of data on higher than expected sales and promotions from some brokers.

Among the minor titles, it takes off Maire Tecnimont (+6,36%) after the company agreed a general and definitive $125 million transaction, together with the partners of the Tecnimont/Ses consortium, with Endesa Chile, of the Enel group.

Sink instead Brunello Cucinelli (-6%), to 18,39 euros, after yesterday placing 5,14% at 18 euros per share, the price at which the stock is aligning itself.
