Japan tries to rear its head, but fails. After the -4,6% recorded yesterday in the wake of the turbulence triggered by fears about China's stability, today the Tokyo Stock Exchange closed trading with a new crash: -3,96%, at 17.806,77 points (-733,98 points), on the lowest levels of the last six months.
An attempt at a rebound was staged during the session, but it evaporated in the final, with the Nikkei index pushed back into negative territory by a strong current of realisations.
The other Asian markets were also heavy: Shanghai lost 6,06%, Hong Kong 1,06%.
