The main causes of the downturn are two: the negative influence of Wall Street and the recovery of the yen against the dollar – Brokers still believe that the stocks will recover quickly due to speculation on the new monetary measures to come

Tokyo Stock Exchange, Nikkei at lowest since October

The index Nikkei of Tokyo Stock Exchange closed the session down 0,4% at 13.910,16 points, the lowest level since October 2013. The index Topix however, it lost 0,12%, to 1.132,76 points. The main causes of the decline are two: the negative influence of Wall Street and the recovery of the yen against the dollar. 

Activity was rather sparse, with only 1,73 billion pieces traded on the main market. Despite the Nikkei level, brokers believe stocks will recover quickly on speculation about new monetary measures to come. An issue on which Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and the governor of the Bank of Japan, Haruhiko Kuroda, will discuss this month.
