Borsa, the Mid Caps are running. Football sparks but Juve slows down

European stock markets hit four-year highs Wednesday morning on the back of Donald Trump's statements on a possible resolution of the trade war with China. Piazza Affari is bucking the trend (-0,18%) and is the only price list in Europe. On the eve of the long American weekend dedicated to Christmas shopping, Paris parity behind Frankfurt +0,4%, as usual the most sensitive to the issue of duties and Madrid +0,47%. Also London advances by 0,43% on the day of a sensational operation in the world of English football.

Private equity firm Silver Lake has reached an agreement for a $500m equity investment in City Football Group which controls Manchester City, valuing the company that owns the Premier League champion club at $4,8bn.

La Juventus -2,6% meanwhile announced that the capital increase for 2 million will start on 300 December with a theoretical discount of 29,1% on the Stock Exchange price. The operation will be guaranteed by a guarantee consortium made up of Bnp Paribas, Goldman Sachs, Mediobanca and Unicredit. Exor will subscribe its share (191,2 million).
