Stock Exchange: Campari and Erg ahead on accounts and dividends. Cembre moves back

Among the many quarterly reports of the day, those of three medium-sized Italian companies stand out: Campari, Erg and Cembre – The alcohol producer closes with a drop in profit due to recurring charges, but raises its dividend and advances on the stock market – Erg benefits: dividend doubled and the stock soars – Cembre records declining profits and retreats from Piazza Affari.

Campari, who concluded today the purchase of Forty Creek, archives its 2013 with a net profit down by 4,4% on an annual basis to 149,8 million euros. Non-recurring charges weigh on the alcohol producer's results.

Ebitda before non-recurring income and charges increased by +0,5% to 339,1 million euro. Revenues grew sharply, +13,7% on an annual basis to 1,52 billion euro. Campari then announced a 14,3% increase in its dividend, from €0,07 to €0,08 per share.

Today's news gave impetus to the Campari stock which in the late morning gained more than 1% in Piazza Affari, making it one of the brightest stocks on the main list.

Among the other quarterly reports of the day, that of Erg also stands out, which recorded a net profit of 2013 million in 28 (from 151 million). If we exclude the effects of the change in the perimeter of the activities, however, the net result becomes growing, at 38 million compared to 12 of the previous year. The other margins also improved. The oil company has also decided to distribute a dividend that has more than doubled: at 1 euro per share against 0,4 the previous year. 

The decision gave wings to the Erg share which, again in the late morning, gained more than 7% on the Stock Exchange.

Cembre also made public its 2013 financial statements today. The electrical connector manufacturer closed the year with consolidated net profit down by 8,7% on an annual basis to 10,5 million euro and revenues in growth of 0,6% to 104,5 million. The net financial position is positive for 5,9 million euros (from 620 million a year earlier) due to the lower investments made in 2013. For 2014, the company expects revenues to grow.

The board of directors of the company has proposed the distribution of a dividend of 0,26 euros per share against 0,16 of the previous year. At the end of the morning, Cembre shares lost more than 1% to Piazza Affari.
