Stock exchange: Cairo runs on agreement with Ei Towers

Cairo Communication runs on the Stock Exchange which, in mid-morning, achieves increases of more than 5% in Piazza Affari, at 5,555 euros per share. In the same minutes the Italian price list travels in negative territory.

The announcement of the signing of agreements with Ei Towers for the construction and management of a new national multiplex (Mux) gave wings to the prices of the group founded and chaired by Urbano Cairo. Under the terms of the signed agreement, Ei Towers will be entitled to slightly lower fees than those established in the term sheet of last June.

In fact, there is talk of a total of 11,5 million for the three-year period of the transitional phase and, starting from 2018, 16,3 million a year against 14 million for the first three-year period and then 18,3 million a year starting from 2018 previously established.

"With the creation of the Mux - reads the note released by the company led by Urbano Cairo - the Cairo Communication group will also become active as a network operator and will be able to autonomously have a transmission capacity of approximately 22,4 Mbit/s which can be used to transmit the La7 and La7d channels from 1 January 2017 and to broadcast new channels that the group intends to launch and possibly for lease to third parties as early as 2016".
