Borsa, Aim: 23% of the turnover of listed companies comes from Emilia

Emilia-Romagna has 12% of the companies listed on the AIM Italia segment of Piazza Affari, the one dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises – The capitalization of these 13 companies is almost 2 billion in total, there are 3.200 employees in all.

There are 13 companies listed on AIM Italia in Emilia Romagna with a share of 12% of the market, in second place by number of companies after Lombardy (52%) and before Lazio (10%) – in order of most recent listing: Vimi Fasteners (Industry), CFT (Industry), created from the Business Combination with the SPAC Glenalta, Cellularline (Industry) created from the Business Combination with the SPAC Crescita, Fervi (Industry); Illa (Industry), SITI B&T Group (Industry), Energica Motor Company (Industry), Bio-On (Chemistry), PLT Energia (Energy and Renewable Energies), Exto T System (Technology), Prismi (Technology), Poligrafici Printing (Media), Rosetti Marino (Industry).

The data emerges from the AIM Italia Observatory edited by IR Top Consulting, Partner Equity Markets of Borsa Italiana - LSE Group, leader in Italy in management consultancy for the Capital Markets (stock market listing and Corporate Finance) and Investor Relations, which presented the results of the survey on Emilia Romagna, region characterized by companies with industrial business models (62%), with dimensions and marginality higher than the AIM market average and positive performance in terms of revenues.

In fact, the 13 companies show total revenues of 1,1 billion euros (23% on AIM), in second place after Lombardy (2,0 billion euros), a capitalization of 1,9 billion euros (24% of the market) and total funding in IPO (equity) of 331 million euros (10% of the market), of which 19,8 million in 2018.

Anna Lambiase, Founder and CEO of IR Top Consulting, a company specialized in listing on the AIM Italia market, commented as follows: “From the evidence of the AIM Italia Observatory it emerges that Emilia Romagna is placed at second place for turnover (1,1 billion of Euro), to market capitalization (1,9 billion of euros, equal to 24%) and in terms of capital raised in IPOs (331 million euros), after laLombardy. The AIM Italia company from Emilia is mainly active in the industrial sector (62%), presents an average growth in revenues in 2017 equal to +10% (+12% the market average) it's a marginality (18%) above the AIM average (13,6%). The AIM, with an overall collectiona from 2009 of over 4 billion euros represents a market for Italy stock of great support to the growth of SMEs. Vimi Fasteners, active in the precision mechanics sector, is the most recent company in Emilia Romagna to be listed on the AIM market, with 12 million capital raised and recorded an overall demand equal to 2,6 times the quantity of global supply . The IPO on AIMItaly It's an option worth consideringand especially for SMEs who intend to invest in their own growth without losing control of the company: the quotation constitutes an opportunity for great visibility with significant returns. Starting this year, moreover, thecompanies' access to the capital market is facilitatedthe incentives for the listing of SMEs, introduced by the 2018 Budget Law, cutNo. 50% of the IPO costs in the form of tax credit for operations supported until 2020".

The typical Emilian AIM Italia company is characterized by average revenues of 81,9 million euros (+10% compared to 2016), an EBITDA of 10,8 million euros and a margin of 18%. The average market capitalization for Emilia Romagna is equal to 147 million euros, with a value higher than the average on AIM Italia, funding is equal to 9,4 million euros (7,8 million euros the median value) . Listed companies in Emilia Romagna employ over 3.200 resources (252 on average), +6% compared to 2016.
