Triumphal morning for Piazza Affari. After yesterday's negative day, today the Ftse Mib rebounds and makes Milan the queen of Europe: by mid-morning the Italian stock market reaches 2%, and when it is 11,15 am, no security in the main basket is in negative territory.
Leading the fight back are first and foremost banking stocks: Ubi Banca which soars by more than 5% after the reacquisition of Aviva, Mediobanca which is sailing on +3% and Mps, which after yesterday's tumble regains the confidence of the markets, especially after the consortium of banks involved in the capital increase in May said it was willing to raise the bar from the 3 billion euros initially approved to the 5 billion needed to repay the Monti bonds.
Fiat and Pirelli are also flying, while Telecom Italia is cautious (-0,18%) when the shareholders' meeting began – around 11 am – which will have to elect the new board. On the other hand, the debut of Anima Holding was disappointing, losing just under 4% in mid-morning.
