After months of waiting, the transport bonus 2023, a contribution of 60 € intended for the user trains, trams and buses which aims to support families, workers and students struggling with the dear energy. The three competent ministers - Giancarlo Giorgetti (Economy), Elvira Calderone (Labour) and Matteo Salvini (Transport) have signed the implementing decree containing the methods for disbursing the bonus provided for by the fuel decree. The total funding amounts to 100 million euros.
Transport bonus 2023: how it works
The 2023 transport bonus can be used to purchase public transport passes local, regional and interregional, but also for the national rail transport. In essence, it is a discount of up to 60 euros on the cost of season tickets for buses, trams and trains. The contribution must be used, by purchasing a subscription, within the calendar month of issue. The season ticket can also begin its validity in a subsequent period.
Transport bonus 2023: who is it for?
Citizens who in 2023 registered a total income not exceeding 20 thousand euros (there were 35 last year) and who will apply by 31 December 2023 through the portal.
The transport bonus, "although it is a small incentive and reserved for citizens with an ISEE of less than 20 thousand euros, could represent help for the less wealthyioi nucleus numerous”, explains the president of Assoutenti Furio Truzzi. “According to the latest Istat data – recalls the association – every day in Italy 26,8 million Italians use vehicles of transport to go to school or work, 45,4% of the resident population. Transport bonus 2023: how to request it
The bonus can be requested for oneself or for a dependent minor beneficiary. To do this, you must log in by December 31, 2023 with Spid or Electronic Identity Card (Cie) and indicate the tax code of the beneficiary. The application must be submitted through the appropriate portal dedicated to Transportation Bonus. There is one though: the site has not yet been updated with the new operating procedures envisaged by the recently signed implementing decree. "The portal will be updated with the new operating methods after the scrutiny of the implementing decree by the supervisory bodies", says the Mef in a note. Translated: to submit the request you have to wait a few more days.
