Last days for the Psychologist bonus 2022: the application can be submitted to the INPS by Monday October 24. This is a contribution from maximum 600 euro for psychological assistance, recognized on the basis of a series of requirements, on the basis of separate rankings by Region/Autonomous Province and drawn up by INPS taking into account the ISEE value of the beneficiary and, if the ISEE is equal, the order in which the application is presented.
However, the available resources are not sufficient due to the boom in requests already made. But let's go in order and see how the Psychologist Bonus works, who is entitled to it and how to apply to INPS.
Psychologist bonus 2022: what is it
Il Psychologist bonus 2022 is aimed at supporting the costs of psychological assistance of citizens "in conditions of anxiety, depression, stress and psychological fragility due to the pandemic emergency and the consequent socio-economic crisis, who are in a position to benefit from a psychotherapeutic path".
The benefit is recognized only once.
By "psychotherapeutic process" we mean a series of psychotherapy sessions carried out in the office of the professional registered in thelist of psychotherapists, within the register of psychologists, adhering to the initiative.
Requirements and amounts
At the time of submitting the application, beneficiaries must meet the following requirements:
- Residence Permit: the beneficiary must be resident in Italy.
- ISEE: the beneficiary must have a valid ordinary or current ISEE value not exceeding 50.000 euros.
Total contribution paid:
- 600 euros for ISEE less than 15.000 euros;
- 400 euros for ISEE between 15.000 and 30.000 euros;
- 200 euro ISEE higher than 30.000 and not higher than 50.000 euro;
Cost per eligible session: up to 50 euros for each session.
How to request the 2022 Psychologist Bonus? The online application to INPS
La application for the 2022 psychologist bonus can be submitted directly by the beneficiary or by an applicant acting on behalf of a minor.
The request can only be submitted electronically by accessing the "Contribution to psychotherapy sessions" service directly on the web portal ("Performance and services" > "Services" > "Access point to non-pension benefits" path) via SPID level 2 or higher, electronic identity card (CIE) 3.0 or National Service Card (CNS).
The completion of the rankings will be announced via a specific message on the INPS website. The outcome of the request will be communicated via SMS/email to the addresses indicated and will also be available in the "Receipts and measures" section of the platform.
WARNING: The applicant must self-certify the possession of the requisites illustrated above, under penalty of inadmissibility of the application. This declaration will be subject to verification by INPS.
Psychologist bonus 2022: when it arrives and how it works
After 24 October, the beneficiaries included in the ranking will have 180 days to benefit from the bonus. These will receive from INPS a unique code to be shown to the professional chosen among those adhering to the initiative.
The code is used to provide an account of the amount used and the amount still available. After the session, the professional enters the code, the amount and the date on the Inps platform. The payment, maximum 50 euros per session, will be paid directly by the institution.

The list of professionals adhering to the incentive can be found on the website of National Council of the Order of Psychologists (CNOP). Alternatively, it can be consulted on the websites of the regional and provincial orders or through the INPS portal. Or you can ask the psychotherapist directly.
Who is entitled to the 2022 Psychologist Bonus?
However, the money made available by the government for the psychologist bonus is not enough, as there has been a real one boom of questions. There are currently around 340 (60% come from under 35) and around 1 out of 10 of these can be satisfied.
After an initial allocation of 10 million, sufficient for just 16 people, the latest Aid decree allocated another 15 million. The total resources, 25 million in all, will be enough for about 12% of those who applied.
So people with a low ISEE and who submitted the application first will get the bonus.
