In 2017 the Energy Bonuses dedicated to needy families will continue, to an increased extent compared to 2016. Therefore, also in the new year, families that fall within the ISEE income parameters for access to the subsidies will be able to receive the social bonus for domestic energy supplies .

As mentioned, theElectricity, Gas and Water Authority has decided to increase the Social Bonus for electricity bringing it to a figure that fluctuates between 112 euros and 165 euros, based on the composition of the household. As explains the AEEGSI, essentially for families that meet the requirements, the reduction in the cost of bills goes from 20% to 30% of the gross annual expense.

In detail, families of 1-2 members will be able to receive a social bonus of 112 euros, compared to 80 euros in 2016, those with 3-4 members a social bonus of 137 euros, compared to 93 euros in 2016, and those over 4 members a social bonus of 165 euros, against 153 euros in 2016.

The concessions, however, have not simply increased, but also widened, with an increase in the maximum ISEE ceiling for the Social Bonus which passes, for families with less than 4 dependent children, from the previous 7.500 euros to the new limit of 8.107,5 EUR. Applications for access to the bonus must be submitted to the appropriate municipal office or to the body designated by the municipality itself, such as the CAF or mountain communities, after completing the appropriate forms, also available online for download on the AEEGSI and 'ANCI.
