Arrives the culture bonus for young people who turn eighteen in 2016. From 15 September, eight and a half months after its approval, the 500 euros intended for boys and girls born in 2018 can be used to purchase books, cinema tickets, concerts, exhibitions and events.
A sort of electronic "piggy bank" that young people can use to increase their knowledge and broaden their knowledge. Obviously, in order to take advantage of the incentive approved by the Renzi government, precise rules must be followed and certain stakes respected. Below we therefore provide you with the information necessary to take advantage of the 500 euro culture bonus.
BONUS CULTURE: WHO WILL RECEIVE IT
The culture bonus can be used by boys and girls born in 1998 and who will therefore turn eighteen in 2016. It should be emphasized that at first the voucher was aimed only at young Italians, but was later extended to foreigners residing in Italy in possession of a regular residence permit.
According to calculations, a total of 574.593 young people who, from 1 January to 31 December 2016, have turned or will turn 18 will be able to take advantage of the bonus.
BONUS CULTURE: HOW IT WORKS
Undersecretary Tommaso Nannicini explained the functioning mechanism of the culture bonus, who also clarified the purpose of the measure: "18app sends a precise message: that of a community that welcomes you as you come of age, reminding you how crucial cultural consumption is , for your personal enrichment and to strengthen the civil fabric of the whole country. And for once the funds to promote culture are not distributed by the bureaucracy but by the decisions of thousands of young people. The money will go where the choices of 18-year-olds go”.
In fact, the Government has allocated 290 million euros to finance the measure.
From a practical point of view, the disbursement of the bonus will be managed through an application called "18app", created and managed by Sogei. On the other hand, Agid (the Agency for digital Italy) has the task of setting up the application project.
BONUS CULTURE: HOW TO USE “18app”
In order to benefit from the 500 euros, every XNUMX-year-old will have to follow a few simple steps, similar to those taken when buying a product on the internet.
In fact, every young person will have to register with one of the various identity providers that will allow them to have the Spid (the Public System for Digital Identity), namely:
– post office,
– Aruba,
– Tim,
– Infocert,
– Silte.
Once done, the credentials necessary to access the various online services of the Public Administration will be sent.
Subsequently, it will be necessary to download the app from www.18app.it or from www.diciottapp.it to benefit from the incentive. At this point, it will be necessary to enter the system using the previously activated Spid.
After providing personal data, residence, mobile phone number and e-mail address, a 500 euro plafond will automatically be generated which will be active from the day of the birthday until the end of 2017.
BONUS CULTURE: WHAT YOU CAN BUY
With the culture bonus, every young person will be able to buy books (scholastic and non-scholastic), pay admission to museums, archaeological areas, buy tickets for cinemas, theatres, exhibitions, concerts, fairs, natural parks and events (the complete list of permitted activities not yet available)
On the digital platform there is a list of merchants, shops, cinemas, museums, theatres, libraries and cultural services in which the 18-year-old can spend the sum received.
For each purchase, a voucher will be created which will allow either to purchase the product in digital form (for example by buying an e-book), or alternatively to proceed with the purchase in the traditional form by going to the chosen activity (museums, theaters, etc.).
In this second case, each young person will have to follow one of the following paths:
– save the voucher on your smartphone, tablet or computer,
– print the voucher and show it to complete the purchase,
– display it with a «qr code» or as a «bar code» to show to the merchant.
