The bill bonus changes from 2020 January 8.107,5. This was established by the Energy Authority, which raised the Isee limit within which it is possible to access the concession. With the new year, the bar rises from 8.265 to 200 euros, extending the perimeter of the bill bonus to about XNUMX more families.

Also known as a "social bonus", the discount is applied to electricity, gas and water bills as a welfare measure for the segment of the population in less favorable economic conditions.

WHO ELSE IS ENTITLED TO THE DISCOUNT?

As for the other rules, nothing changes compared to the past:

  1. the Isee threshold rises to 20 euros for large families, i.e. those with at least four dependent children;
  2. families with a basic income or a basic pension can access the electricity and gas bill bonus even if their ISEE is higher than 8.265 euros. For the discount on water, on the other hand, it is always necessary to fall within the Isee limit.

HOW LONG DOES THE BILL BONUS LAST?

The bill bonus lasts for one year, but is renewable: once the 12 months have expired, you must send a new request, certifying that you are still entitled to the discount.

HOW MUCH IS IT WORTH?

The Energy Authority updates the value of the bonus every year.

Until 2019 the values ​​were as follows:

  • 132 euros for families with 1-2 members;
  • 161 euros 132 euros for families with 3-4 members;
  • 194 euros for families with more than 4 members.

HOW DO I RECEIVE THE BILL BONUS?

The bonus amount is deducted directly from the bills for the 12 months following the submission of the application. Each bill shows a part of the bonus proportional to the period to which it refers.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CHANGE SUPPLIER?

Nothing. Change supplier or contract type, for example by switching from greater protection to the free marketdoes not involve any interruption in the payment of the bill bonus.
