Baby bonus and pensions, the latest news in the maneuver

The last-minute changes to the Stability law concern the methods of disbursement of the baby bonus and the payment date of the INPS-INPDAP double pensions.

Baby bonus and pensions, the latest news in the maneuver

The State General Accounting Office has given the green light to the Stability law, which is now awaiting the consent of the Quirinale before landing in Parliament. Meanwhile, this morning Prime Minister Matteo Renzi meets the representatives of the Regions to discuss the approximately four billion cuts imposed by the Government as one of the cover for the maneuver.

As for the contents of the law, the latest news concern baby bonuses and pensions.

1) BABY BONUS: 80 EUROS EVERY MONTH

The three-year contribution to new mothers with a gross family income of up to 90 thousand euros will be paid on a monthly basis for an amount of 80 euros. The hypothesis of paying the contribution in a single annual solution of 960 euros is therefore rejected. The measure will cost the State 500 million euros in 2015, one billion in 2016 and one and a half billion a year from 2017 onwards, if it is confirmed.

2) PENSIONS: POSTED PAYMENT ONLY FOR DOUBLE CHECKS

The payment of the social security check will be postponed to the 10th of the month only for those who receive the double Inps-Inpdap treatment, or around 800 thousand people. The other 15 million pensioners will continue to receive the check as they always have: the first of the month if INPS pays, the 16th if instead the treatment is paid by INPDAP.
