With an amendment presented by Emiliano Fenu, rapporteur of the Legastellata majority, the Government has included in the fiscal decree connected to the maneuver the extension of the birth allowance (this is the technical name of the baby bonus) for children who will be born next year. But there is something new compared to previous years: the amount will rise by 20% from the second child onwards.
BABY BONUS: THE BASIC SCHEME
The basic scheme of the 2019 baby bonus is the same introduced by the Renzi government in 2015 and then confirmed until 2018 by the Gentiloni government:

- 160 euros per month (equal to 1.920 euros a year) for families with an Isee income below 7 thousand euros a year.
THE BABY BONUS 2019 LASTS ONLY 12 MONTHS

Naturally, the bonus is also paid if the child is adopted.
