The Stability Law for 2015 introduced some interventions in favor of family income such as the so-called Baby Bonus. Following the publication of the tender for the children of Poste Italiane employees, INPS published the national tender for the 2015 baby bonus. With Circular number 93 of 8 May, INPS indicated requirements, income limits and procedure for submitting the application for the 2015 grant.

WHO IS THE BABY BONUS FOR?

The national tender for the 2015 baby bonus is designed for the children of Italian, EU or non-EU citizens, resident in Italy born or entered the family nucleus through adoption between January 2015, 31 and December 2017, XNUMX up to the third year of the child's life, or up to the third year after the adopted child enters the family. In this case, the date of the sentence of adoption of the child is valid. In the case of separated parents, the parent with whom the requested child lives can apply for the baby bonus.

INCOME REQUIREMENTS

From an economic point of view, the INPS specifies that in order to be entitled to the baby bonus, the family unit to which the requesting parent belongs must correspond to a value ISEE not exceeding 25.000 euros per year. For families with an ISEE not exceeding 7.000 euros per year, the annual amount of the allowance is doubled.

As indicated in the INPS Circular to obtain the baby bonus, the family must present a Single Substitute Declaration in which the child born, adopted, or in pre-adoptive foster care is present. On the basis of current ISEE legislation – specifies INPS – “the term of validity of each DSU expires on 15 January of the year following that of its presentation. Therefore, once this deadline has elapsed, the expired DSU cannot be used but another one must be presented. It follows that, in the event of failure to present a new DSU, the benefit is suspended until the new DSU is presented"

AMOUNT OF THE BABY BONUS 2015

Families that meet the above requirements can join the national call for the baby bonus and receive 960 € to be paid up to the third year of age or adoption of the child. In the event that the income is less than 7.000 euros per year, the baby's family will receive EUR 1.920 per year, or 160 euros per month for three years. The allowance is paid for a maximum of 36 months which are calculated starting from the month of birth or entry into the family.

INPS pays the benefit in single monthly installments, equal to 80 euros or 160 euros depending on the value of the ISEE, according to the methods indicated by the applicant in the application. If the application has been submitted within the terms of the law, the first payment includes the amount of the months accrued up to that moment.
