After the acquisition of Flos, a company that produces furnishing lights, over the weekend Andrea Bonomi's group reached an agreement to acquire the majority stake in B&B Italy, Giorgio Busnelli's company that produces high-end sofas.

Giorgio Busnelli will be the minority shareholder of the B&B but will continue to manage the company, according to a model that Bonomi has already experimented with Flos.

The press release issued this morning by Investindustrial states that the two companies are aiming to close the deal by the end of the third quarter of 2015 after the necessary authorizations from the Antitrust.
In 2014, B&B recorded 160 million euros in revenues, 80% of which deriving from exports.

“We are now proud to be able to contribute to the development of a company of excellence in design furniture such as B&B Italia” said Andrea Bonomi. “The strong desire to ensure continuity for this extraordinary company – explained Busnelli – so that it can further grow and expand internationally in keeping with its mission and history, has led us to consider the partnership with a highly qualified group, Investindustrial, which thanks to his experience in the high-end and in design, he will be able to support us with expertise and resources in pursuing long-term strategies of internationalization and industrial development”.
