Instant bank transfer, 3 ready banks: Intesa, Unicredit and Sella

According to the EBA Clearing surveys, 19 European banks are ready to launch the instant bank transfer which from November will allow payments in euros to be made in seconds –

In just over a month instant transfer will become reality. 19 banks distributed in nine countries are ready to join the Rt1 circuit, the pan-European infrastructural solution that will allow immediate payments in euros. Of these, three are Italian: Intesa Sanpaolo, Unicredit and Banca Sella. “By the end of next year, participants in the scheme are expected to account for 80% of our current Step2 Sct volumes, which provides a good indication of the sizeable scope we expect Rt1 to accumulate over the next 12 months,” Hays explains. The debut date of the super-fast bank transfer is scheduled for November 21st, the day on which the Sct Inst program will be launched.

The novelty will allow users of the institutes involved to send and receive a bank transfer in 10 seconds, seven days a week, 24 hours a day, causing a real revolution in the international banking system.

According to the first rumors, it will be available for sums of up to 15 thousand euros.
