BF Spa, the sole shareholder of Bonifiche Ferraresi, has signed the agreement for the acquisition of 41,19% of the share capital of Societa Italiana Sementi. The operation, which will become effective from December, was concluded for 8,3 million euro.
The stake was acquired by the shareholders Consorzio Agrario dell'Emilia, Consorzio Agrario del Nordest, Consorzio Agrario dell'Adriatico, Consorzio Agrario del Centro Sud and Flaminia Srl (the latter in liquidation).
Società Italiana Sementi operates in the seed sector in Italy and works for the growth of the productivity of national cereal cultivation.
At the same time, shareholders who have sold their shares are required to reinvest part of the price in Società Italiana Sementi through an interest-bearing five-year loan.
