Yields on Spanish bonds soar. In this morning's auction, 3- and 6-month bonds saw yields jump respectively from 1,692 to 2,292% and from 2,665 to 3,302% compared to the last placement.
Madrid placed bonds totaling 3,48 billion euros: 1,385 billion over three months and 2,095 billion over 6 months.
The high tension on Spain's debt is therefore confirmed, despite the reassuring words towards the Iberian country that came from the leaders of the eurozone during the last EU summit.
