Bombardier lists Transport on the Stock Exchange

The group Bombardier intends to place a minority stake in its division active in the transport sector (Bombardier Transportation) on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The Canadian group communicates this in the note on the quarterly accounts, specifying that the decision was also taken due to the consolidation process underway in the sector, one of the latest examples of which was the purchase of Ansaldo Sts and Ansaldo Breda by Hitachi.

The IPO is currently scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year, subject to market conditions, and is expected on the German stock market, where the Transportation division is headquartered.

The IPO is expected to crystallize the entire value of Bombardier Transportation and further strengthen the group's financial position, while preserving the necessary flexibility if it intends to participate in the future consolidation process of the sector.

Bombardier Transportation has approximately 800 employees in Italy between the Vado Ligure and Rome plants.
