Bologna-Milan, a parish football equal that saves Inzaghi

Mediocre 0-0 between Bologna, third from bottom in the standings, and Milan, who remain fourth but lose the opportunity to consolidate their position in the Champions League area – Higuan disappoints again – Only SuperPippo Inzaghi celebrates, who saves his shaky bench

Bologna-Milan, a parish football equal that saves Inzaghi

The right ending for an unworthy show. Bologna and Milan played one of the worst matches in the championship and a 0-0 draw is consequently the most appropriate result. Woe, however, to put the two teams on the same level: Inzaghi, in fact, takes the point home with legitimate satisfaction while Gattuso has to deal with another missed opportunity to stretch on his pursuers.

Milan remain in fourth place, indeed paradoxically they even earn a point over Lazio but cannot be satisfied with the 0-0 draw against the third from bottom in the standings, moreover without creating even one noteworthy occasion. The worst thing about this draw, in fact, lies in the way it happened: a slow, predictable and fearful team, almost as if the fear of losing was greater than the desire to win.

Blame the after-effects in Athens, the injuries that are starting to make themselves felt, a frozen field immersed in fog: the answer can probably be found in a mix of all this, the fact is that the Rossoneri, once again, threw away wind the opportunity to sweep away the criticisms and spend a few days in serenity.

“We tickled Bologna – acknowledged Gattuso bitterly – It was a mediocre game, we dribbled in a sterile way: when you play against a defeating team you have to bring out the quality, unfortunately we didn't succeed. We hold on to this point but we know we could have done better…”.

Opposite, of course, the mood of Inzaghi, very happy with a draw that allows him to save the bench and shorten the distance from Udinese fourth last.

"Milan is scary from the field, not having conceded a goal is a good sign - his comment - I hope that better times will come and that we can play with more serenity even in the possession phase, but now we needed an answer and we we have date”.

The words of the coaches are perhaps the most exciting thing of the evening and this says a lot about the show offered by Bologna and, above all, Milan. A couple of shots called by Higuain (another discouraging test) and Cutrone, a cross shot by Orsolini rejected by Donnarumma, Bakayoko's expulsion for double yellow (by the way: in the next match against Fiorentina the Rossoneri will have to do without him and Kessiè, cautioned and warned): here it is, in summary, the Dall'Ara game.

In the midst of many technical errors and the feeling, almost annoying, of a more enveloping fear of the Bolognese fog. For Inzaghi's team it can fit, for Gattuso's even not. Because this 0-0 draw by Dall'Ara looks so much like a missed opportunity, the umpteenth one in this very complicated season.
