Bills: in 2017 increases for electricity and gas, discounts for families

The dreaded "bill update" by the Energy and Gas Authority has arrived, with reference to the first quarter of 2017. it is still the surge of that of gas on which the winter seasonality obviously weighs. As established by the Energy Authority, in the usual quarterly decision, from January 0,9st the electricity bill will register an increase of XNUMX% while for gas the increase will be 4,7%.

In detail, for electricity, the expenditure (before taxes) for the typical family in the year between 1 April 2016 and 31 March 2017 will be 498 euros, with a change of -1,5% compared to 12 equivalent months of the previous year (April 1, 2015 – March 31, 2016), corresponding to a saving of around 8 euros. For gas, the average household's expenditure in the same period will be approximately 1.022 euros, in any case with a change of -6,5% compared to the rolling year, corresponding to a saving of 71 euros. The total savings will therefore have been around 79 for the typical Italian family, as at 31 March 2017.

Furthermore, some families will not be affected by the price increases, given that they will above all benefit from the new operating system from 1 January households that exceed 2.700 kilowatt hours per year, corresponding to the consumption threshold of a typical Italian family with a 3 kilowatt power meter. In fact, they will be applied from 1 January the new AEEGSI rules which also bring news on billing: on the bills there will be the actual consumption and not the estimated ones, and if billing is delayed, the consumer will be compensated up to a maximum of 60 euros. In addition, the consumer will have the option of repaying the debt in installments.
