Bills 28 days: Tar confirms refunds but canceled fines

Twist on the case of 28-day bills. The Lazio Regional Administrative Court annulled the sanctions imposed by Agcom on Tim, Vodafone, Wind Tre and Fastweb. The fines are worth a total of around 4,4 million, the equivalent of 1,1 million euros for each company.

The Authority in March 2017 - before the prohibition of billing at four weeks was imposed by law - had sanctioned the principle of billing on a monthly basis with a resolution. Subsequently, since the companies had not complied with the obligation, Agcom started the proceedings which ended with the fines.

The sentence of the Tar, which does not yet contain the reasons, does not however touch the compensations, that is the obligation imposed on the operators to return the "eroded" days to the users. The return, according to what was established by Agcom, should take place by 31 December.
