28-day bills: Gdf inspections on telephone companies

The Special Antitrust Unit of the Guardia di Finanza, at the request of the Antitrust, is carrying out inspections at the main fixed and mobile telephony operators and also at Assotelecomunicazioni in Rome.

The inspections, as we learn, concern possible restrictive agreements on competition and would be linked to the monthly invoicing of bills.

The Competition and Market Authority, after having received complaints from consumer associations, intends to understand whether the various telephone companies have signed under-the-counter agreements on the invoicing of bills, which will return monthly again, and on the consequent rate increases.
