Our country has long been suffocated by economic decline, and among the many questions the one on the tax burden stands out, the reform of which could be an important lever for recovery. The problem is that the European restrictive policy and the Fiscal Compact do not allow for a reduction in taxes except through significant spending cuts.

The Bocconi magazine analyzes the most accredited theories to resolve the issue, and among these there is that on indirect taxes, on which to move taxes to make the labor market more agile in particular: less taxes on businesses and work, in short, and more property and consumption taxes. Will it be the right recipe?
