Bnp Paribas: 2015 profit up to 6,7 billion

Goes on file 2015 of BNP Paribas, which closed with a net profit of 6,7 billion euros against only 157 million recorded in 2014, when the French institute's profits were affected by a 6,6 billion dollar fine imposed by the US authorities for violating the embargo against Iran and other countries.

Revenues, on the other hand, grew by 9,6% to 42,9 billion, thanks to the dynamics of financial services and investment banking, even if in the European markets the increase in revenues stopped at 1,6% on an annual basis. The capitalization ratio of Bnp at the end of last year was 10,9%, 6 tenths of a point higher than a year earlier.

Although earnings turned out to be slightly below what analysts expected (the consensus was at 6,9 billion euros), the French banking giant's stock is advancing in the Paris Stock Exchange, recording increases of more than 4% in the morning, also thanks to the decision to propose a dividend of 2,31 euros per share, up on the previous dividend of 1,50 euros, at the next shareholders' meeting in May.
