The French banking group announces that it has acquired the Polish branch Bank Bgz from Rabobank for one billion euro – L'ad Bonnafé: “The operation consolidates us as a reference operator in the sector in Poland”.

Bnp Paribas concluded the purchase of Bank Gospodarki Zywnosciowej (Bank Bgz), the Polish branch of the Dutch Rabobank for one billion euro. This was announced in a press release from the French group which explains how this acquisition will have minimal impact on the core Tier 1 ratio, while it should immediately improve the 2013 results, especially as regards pro forma earnings per share.

"The operation - according to the CEO of Bnp Paribas Jean-Laurent Bonnafé - will consolidate the group as a reference operator in the banking sector in Poland".
