Bnl: Andrea Munari will be new CEO and general manager

The nomination committee resolved to propose to the board of directors on 26 November the hiring as general manager and the cooptation of Andrea Munari, who would also become managing director, on the board itself.

Andrea Munari will be the new CEO and general manager of Bnl. Yesterday – informs the Bank in a note – the nomination committee, operating within the BoD and made up of Roger Abravanel as chairman, Mario Girotti and Silvia Merlo as members, met. The meeting was also attended by the chairman of Bnl Luigi Abete, who submitted, in agreement with the shareholder, the proposal for the hiring of Andrea Munari as general manager of the Bank, as well as his co-optation on the board of directors, with the consequent assumption of management delegations. 

Munari will also be a member of the Executive Committee of the Bnp Paribas Group and head of the Bnp Paribas Group for Italy. The nomination committee – reads the note – investigated the Munari's professional curriculum, managing director of Credito Fondiario SpA, previously general manager of Banca Imi from October 2007 to December 2013 and for many years Managing Director in London at MorganStanley and Barclays. Andrea Munari is currently a director of the London Stock Exchange and vice president of Borsa Italiana spa.
