Blair Foundation against parents who become their children's trade unionists at school: applause

A study of the Blair Foundation on school and on the often nefarious role of Parents is raising hell in Britain and he did well "The paper” to bring it to light also in Italy where the interference of families towards teachers often creates no small amount of damage. The Blair Foundation thunders against the progressive and harmful transformation of parents in trade unionists of their children. It is a very current problem also in Italy, even if the topic of school and education of the new generations has unfortunately lost the centrality it deserves in the political debate. Even in our country, families, of course without generalizing, often seem more concerned that their children earn a piece of paper even if they do not deserve it rather than that they really learn something and enrich their culture. The scenes of fights with the teachers to get a six on the report card of your children are not counted in a country like ours that despises meritocracy and who prefers the easy politics of the Todos Caballeros, as demonstrated every year by the laughable results of the state exams that record promotions that are close to 100%. It is time for families to stop being mother hens or, worse, union leaders of their children and for the power relations in schools to change and return authority to teachers. No one regrets the authoritarianism of the pre-'68 era but now we are at a point of laxity, without realizing that the victims of an often completely wrong approach of parents in schools are indeed the teachers but even more so the children. So let's welcome the courageous countercurrent challenge of the Blair Foundation.
