Black Friday: Amazon advances the discounts by one month

Amazon anticipates Black Friday and launches 24 days of discounts, offers and promotions - The aim is to continue to grind sales, after the records seen in the months of lockdown

Black Friday: Amazon advances the discounts by one month

Black Friday early on Amazon. From today, Monday 26 October, and until Thursday 19 November, the world's most famous e-commerce site will feature offers, discounts and promotions on different categories of products that will ferry users towards the actual Black Friday, scheduled for November 27th.

Technology above all, but also clothing, household products, DIY, cosmetics and much more will be the focus of over three weeks of offers, with products delivered very quickly. But be careful what you buy because the discounts might seem more attractive than they actually are. Before clicking on "Buy", it is always advisable to do a brief search on the prices of the product that interests us, also because on e-commerce sites, often and willingly, the discounts refer to the original list price which, however, can be long since gone.

Black Friday (Black Friday) has now become very popular in the world. It traditionally marks the start of the holiday shopping season and falls on the Friday after Thanksgiving Thursday each year. The event, year after year, has reached such a high reach and diffusion, as to push physical stores and e-commerce platforms to lengthen its duration. In fact, for some years there has been talk of a "Black Friday week" and not a single day of discounts and promotions. It starts a few days before and ends the following Monday, with the now well-known cyber monday. This time Amazon has decided to overdo it, launching an "Black Friday in advance" even 24 days long.
The purpose, not too veiled in reality, is to continue to grind sales as done in the previous months. Covid-19 and the consequent lockdowns imposed globally have in fact inflated Amazon's turnover, further increasing the wealth of its founder: Jeff Bezos, the richest man in the world for years, has increased his assets, reaching record figure of 202 billion dollars, while the revenues of his company soared in the first six months of 2020, growing by 33,5%. Not to mention the stock market performance, with the stock gaining more than 73% on the Nasdaq since the beginning of the year.
