Balance of payments, Bank of Italy: deficit of 4,2 billion in June

In June, Italy's deficit was 4,252 billion euros, an increase compared to the 4,1 billion recorded in the same period of 2010. This was announced by the Bank of Italy, underlining that the figure nevertheless dropped significantly compared to the previous month , when it stood at 5,094 billion. Over the twelve months, again considering 30 June as the threshold, the deficit amounted to 60,8 billion, a sharp increase on an annual basis (37,9 billion in June 2010) and a slight decrease on a monthly basis (60,9 in May 2010).
