Bielsa: goodbye Lazio. And Lotito sues him

The telenovela between Marcelo Bielsa and Lazio ends with a twist that does justice to the nickname of the Argentine coach. Just two days after the announcement of his arrival on the Biancoceleste bench, "el Loco" resigned from his position. The president Claudio Lotito, furious, intends to react with a lawsuit for breach of contract.

"We note with astonishment the resignation of Mr. Marcelo Bielsa, also in the name of his collaborators - reads the official Lazio statement -, in clear violation of the commitments undertaken with the contracts signed last week and duly deposited with the Lega and the FIGC with the relative fulfilments envisaged. The Company reserves the right to take any action to protect its rights".

Meanwhile, the team – which begins its summer preparation in Auronzo di Cadore on Sunday – is once again entrusted to Simone Inzaghi, a former spring coach who had already replaced Stefano Pioli at the helm of the first line-up in the final part of last season and now seemed destined to coach Salernitana in B in 2016-2017.

Inzaghi, however, does not want to be a simple ferryman for the retreat and asks for guarantees for the future, knowing full well that the club must reorganize itself as soon as possible. As for the players, they are currently gathered in Formello, where total confusion reigns.
