After a few days he proposes that he become the leader of the so-called moderates. Now he belittles it. In the fourth media appearance in four days, Silvio Berlusconi changes his mind about the Professor once again: “I'd be surprised if there were Monti's participation in the electoral campaign, this time I'd agree with D'Alema – the Cavaliere said today to Radio Anch'io microphones -. It would not be in Monti's interest to become a minor protagonist from the deus ex machina he presented himself".
During the entire mandate of the technicians, the PDL was the most represented party in Parliament: the only one decisive for guaranteeing a majority for the Executive. However, Berlusconi now believes that he completely dissociates himself from the reforming action of the Monti government, once again attacking its economic policy: “Austerity leads to recession and depression – continued the Cavaliere -. After that, Berlusconi launches in remnants against the opponents of the centre-left.
